My "Theater Club" (one of the English classes I have run in Miharu for 7 years) decided to do a FREE public reading of "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" as a final piece. It is our FIRST attempt at a musical. Kristi Freitag (from Rice Lake, WI) plays Lucy and Kevin Schieffer (my son) plays Snoopy. The other cast are: Ayana Sakuma as Charlie (she was also Margot in Anne Frank), Masako Satoh as Linus (also Fred/Marley from Christmas Carol and Mrs Van Damm in Anne Frank), "Bob" Yaginuma as Schroeder (who always plays Bob Cratchit in Christmas Carol), Yukari Nitta as Sally (Mrs. Frank and Mrs. Cratchit), and Kaori Sakuma (played Anne) will play Linus in one performance where Masoko is not available. Then there are a bunch of other chorus members (kids to adults). We are having a great time.
